Palm faces a Patent Infringement Suit from NTP

Slashdot It! TP, which sued Palm devices for infringement of wireless e-mail patents, said Monday it is suing Palm , maker of the Treo smartphone.

The lawsuit alleges that Palm's products, services, systems and processes have improperly used NTP's wireless e-mail technology.

Palm's shares slipped US$1.17 to $14.24 in Nasdaq trading.

Patent Infringement Solved

In March, BlackBerry maker agreed to pay NTP $612.5 million to settle a four-year patent dispute.
