Microsoft's Bill Gates is among the investors who have joined forces to take the Four Seasons Hotels chain private. The offer of US$3.7 billion, or $82 per share, in cash was made by Chairman and Chief Executive Isadore Sharp and Triples Holdings Limited, along with Saudi Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal's Kingdom Hotels International and Bill Gates' Cascade Investments.

Kingdom Hotels is owned by a trust created by Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Alsaud.
